What is TEAM-CBT therapy? In addition to the known benefits of cognitive behavioral therapy, TEAM CBT therapy is enriched with a therapeutic framework, containing: TESTING: Helps clarify problems through questionnaires that assess mood and other symptoms early and at the end of each session. This process holds therapists and patients accountable for achieving tangible and rapid progress and removes the mystery of therapy. EMPATHY: The idea is to see the world through the patient’s eyes and find the deep truth in what the patient says, even when the patient feels totally demoralized, angry, or critical of the therapist. Empathy and compassion have been shown to be absolutely necessary for meaningful and effective treatment. AGENDA SETTING: Sometimes our patients resist change. This resistance to change is the cause of almost all therapeutic failures. Unfortunately, many therapists do not have the skills to deal with resistance so the patient and therapist can struggle for years with little or no noticeable change. In this phase of the methodology, powerful and innovative techniques are studied to end resistance and increase motivation quickly, before trying any method or intervention. METHODS: Consists of over 50 powerful techniques to help people struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and habits and addictions.
TEAM therapist LEVEL 1
It establishes the conceptual framework of the methodology developed by Dr. David Burns to improve the effectiveness of therapy. At this level the theory and practical application of TEAM concepts are explored.
TEAM therapist LEVEL 2
It delves into advanced intervention techniques in a wide range of problems and focuses on its therapeutic application. Participants will apply the standardized TEAM model to patients and report the results of their practice.
TEAM advanced therapist LEVEL 3
At this level, there is an opportunity to take additional hours of individual and / or group supervision. To accredit it, a clinical skills verification exam is performed with two TEAM level 4 or 5 instructors from the Feeling Good Institute. Taking the course does not guarantee the instructor's recommendation to take the level 3 exam.
